New publishing policy at Amazon angers authors: Writers see move to monopolize printing

- QUOTE: A power struggle has erupted between several national writers groups and Amazon.com Inc. over the company's new publishing policy, which some charge gives Amazon a monopoly on book printing..."This policy destroys hope for new writers like myself to get into the business," someone who identified himself as Ron Berry wrote in an online petition. "This forces us to use Amazon and pay their prices while we get little or nothing, if and only if, Amazon accepts us as writers!!"
