How Microsoft Warded Off Rival

Date: May 14, 2003
Author: Thomas Fuller
ABSTRACT: Microsoft's strategy to dissuade governments across the globe from choosing cheaper alternatives to the Windows computer software systems and thwarting competition exposed.

ABSTRACT: Evidence has come to light that Microsoft, the world’s largest software company, has been using aggressive tactics such as steep price discounts and use of false identities by information-gathering employees to maintain its position vis-a-vis the free and increasingly popular Linux operating system.
