Braziller Brings Controversial Novel to U.S.

Date: May 12, 2003
Author: Christopher Dreher
QUOTE: Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, one of the groups that spearheaded the fight against the book in France, said that he and the organization would try to organize massive protest against an American edition of the book.

ABSTRACT: An American publisher has acquired the rights to publish Randa Ghazy’s controversial novel Dreaming of Palestine. The novel, which has already been condemned by groups in other countries, is under scrutiny in the U.S. because some deem that the novel “vilifies Israelis and praises suicide bombing”.
