Assemblyman Sees No Humor in Web Prank

Date: January 22, 2003
Author: Massie Ritsch
QUOTE: Assemblyman Lloyd Levine of Van Nuys wants his constituents to know that white supremacy is not a plank in his platform, no matter what the World Wide Web suggests.

ABSTRACT: Supposedly as a protest, someone has used the names of over 100 politicians as domain names for various websites devoted to extremist or pornographic content and is now selling the domain names on eBay. The politicians feel this "prank" linking them to unpopular causes is misleading and an abuse of their names.
