More Optoutprescreen info!

When I first went to this website and was asked to enter my social security number I was concerned about identity theft. Giving up your soc number to some website doesn't seem to be a wise course of action. I decided to do some digging to see what I could find out about this www.optoutprescreen.com website. It turned out to be legit. They've spruced the site up a bit recently which is good because the first design was terrible. Good design or not, opting out of credit card pre-approvals at this site isn't dangerous. They accept your personal information through a secure connection. You might not notice a change for a few weeks but after a while this kind of junk mail stops! You'll still get junk mail, just not pre-approvals. I don't like any junk mail but I can live with it if it doesn't endanger my credit.
