ABSTRACT: A parent's group has asked the Montgomery County school board to suspend the schools' specialized program for gifted and talented students on the grounds that it is unfair to black students.  Data revealed by the group claims that the majority of black students who have tried to get into the program did not get in. The school board has stated that it will take steps to increase the number of minorities in the program.
