New Internet Site Turns Critical Eyes and Ears to the Right
- Date: May 3, 2004
- QUOTE: Mr. Brock said the central thrust of his group would be to closely monitor conservative commentators and journalists and, when they make erroneous or misleading claims, to point them out and set the record straight on the Media Matters Web site (www.mediamatters.org).
- ABSTRACT: David Brock, a former conservative journalist who now considers himself a liberal, has launched a web site to monitor conservative media for errors. The site will give "real time" information about the media outlets it covers, in hopes of keeping those outlets from lying or distorting the truth.
