Study Finds 25 Nations Hindered by Corruption

QUOTE: A survey of government accountability and openness in 25 countries around the globe has found that each one is challenged by corruption and lacks sufficient protections against electoral abuses, including developed democracies such as the United States, Germany and Japan.

ABSTRACT: The Center for Public Integrity, a Washington-based political and governmental fairness advocacy group, reported that on of a survey of 25 nations (varying widely in population, size, and wealth, and including the United States), all had significant faults in accountability/openness to their citizens and anti-corruption measures.
