I heard a teaser ad for the radio program "Marketplace" that noted the increasing number of ads shown at movie theaters (along with previews). I believe the point of the show will be that, since what is in reality a phony starting time is given, these added commercials are basically "stealing the time" (a phrase used in the ad) of the theater's customers. This sounds like a legitimate complaint to me!
